It works for me.

I haven't really been 100% clean eating like I had mentioned in the beginning of the year. I have allowed some things back in my life because I have done what I feel works best for me. I don't eat any processed meals: Smart Ones, Lean Cuisines, etc... I don't eat Fiber One bars or any of those things but I do eat some cereal that isn't organic. I do eat Weight Watchers oatmeal because I enjoy it and it's 3 points. I do eat fat free cheese on occasion. There are certain things that I deemed OKAY in my book because that is what works for ME.
Here is my take:

"Food companies hide their ingredients to trick you", "if your water isn't filtered then it's not good for you", "whole grains might not really be whole", "artificial coloring causes ADHD", "hot dogs increase the risk of brain cancer", "if you can't pronounce the ingredient don't eat it",  "chewing gum makes you crave junk", "granola is full of sugar and you shouldn't eat it" and so on and so forth.

I like some foods that have hidden incredients.
I don't restrict myself from foods that I enjoy.
I eat things in moderation.
Sometimes I can't pronounce ingredients but the food satisfies me and works with my plan.
I like tap water.
I eat enough vegetables in one day for two people.
I snack on fruit.
Hot dogs are gross anyway.
I don't have time to obsess over every single thing I put in my mouth and what hidden ingredients are in it.

What I'm doing is working for me. I eat grilled chicken instead of fried. I eat Cheerios instead of ice cream. I eat gum instead of candy. I stress WAY less since I have loosened the reigns a little bit on my eating regimen. I still track everything I eat and I make BETTER choices. Maybe they're not what some may view as the BEST choices but for me - they work.

Maybe one day I may choose to be more into each ingredient that I consume but not right now.

To each their own.

:)

Amen! I was so hesitant to tell people I was starting WW because then everyone becomes a doctor, therapist, dietitian etc....I wanted to do something that inspired me and worked for me and right now it's WW.

AMEN!

I don't want to feel like a failure every time I eat something that doesn't follow ALL the "rules" so instead I do the best I can with what I've got. Sure someone else ate cleaner than me today, someone else burned more calories, someone else lost more weight, but those people are not ME, and I want to be BALANCED!

When I joined ww, I lost 40 lbs eating sweets & not exercising. My neice joined ww & lost 35 lbs working at McDonald's and eating lots of fried choices, all in moderation. Now I make better choices, and exercise 1 hour everyday! I feel so much better and that's what matters. In moderation I can maintain. I would like to be as fit as possible and that is one day at a time. I can't control the scale, but I can CONTROL how much I eat.

You have basicially summarized what the Wonderful World of Weight Watchers means to me: making healthier choices when you can while still enjoying all foods in moderation. Kudos to you my friend.

Honestly, I think you hit the nail on the head with this. You have to what works for you. If you are ok with something, then do it on occasion. I think people get so messed up in their weight loss because they are trying to follow all the recommendations of others. They are forgetting to do what works for them and what they are comfortable with. Fantastic post, lady! And good for you for doing what works for you.

This is exactly why I love Weight Watchers. They don't restrict you. They simply teach you how to eat what you love in moderation. It's the first diet (more a lifestyle change) I have been on where I am not hungry all the time or feeling like I can't have anything I like. Plus, it works.
